The Gupta Impact: Anna’s Designs Captivate the Crowd at Art Hearts Fashion Show
Anna Gupta, soon to be a force in fashion, set the stage for her ascension as a designer with a stunning breakthrough presentation of her latest creations at the Art Hearts Fashion show on Friday, October 15, 2021 as part of Los Angeles Fashion Week. From the moment the music started and the first Gupta model came down the runway, one knew it was going to be a show of moment.
How best to describe the fifteen gorgeous gowns and dresses that followed: ethereal yet worldly, delicate yet enduring, sensual yet sensible, and, most importantly, supremely feminine!
Let’s not stop there: exquisite and existential, classic and classy, and beguiling and bewitching also apply.
With each dress in the show a masterful and artful combination of all of the above qualities, one could easily detect Anna Gupta’s high level of skill, craftsmanship, creativity, and showmanship.
The stand outs among the standouts were:the red gown with its fetchingly sexy corset and lace cape; the navy blue lace strapless mini dress with its diaphanous chiffon flowing train; the strapless lilac satin gown with a slit up to there, and the corset decorated with beaded floral lace.
Fashion shows are, after all, high drama – and the Gupta cavalcade of creativity was no exception, reaching arch levels of shock with the breath-taking appearance of a beige backless gown with detached voluminous sleeves, displayed in all its magnificence by model Jazzika Kyle; indeed, this was Ms Kyle’s own wedding dress, made for her and her only by Ms Gupta, who just happens to be her sister-in-law!
With each of her creations, Gupta transports us into the realm of the sublime. She first entered the fashion world as a model and became a favorite of legendary international fashion designer Sue Wong. She began designing herself over two years ago.
“As a designer, it’s my hope to create clothing that will empower women and afford them queenly confidence. In creating my new collection, I allowed myself complete freedom in both my selection of fabrics, choosing silk, organza, tule, taffeta, lace, and chiffon, and my use of design techniques, utilizing feathers and embroidery appliques. I just trust my intuition when I design and go from there.”
For this show, Anna Gupta partnered with Ariston Krows, Lady Daze Fine Jewelry, and Bino Jewels.Reflecting on that partnership, Gupta extols, “These amazing collaborations turned into magic. I absolutely love every runway look we created together,” she says.
In reflecting on the events of this grand evening, our rising star Anna Gupta averred:
“Through modeling I came to understand the transformative power of clothing. With each show, I want to bring a fairytale to the runway.”
And that she did!
